We tried to be spooky, but we’re too cute! I made this little trio of Hear, Speak, See No Evil Pallet Ghosts out of pallet leftovers. They were sanded and painted white with a Blue/Grey Patina. The eye and mouth openings were cut with a jigsaw too.
To make your own, start with some pallet scraps. We glued several scraps together and rough-sanded so that they were somewhat flush. They don’t have to be perfect; some of the charms is that you can see that they’re lumpy-bumpy ghosts!
Next, we trimmed down some more scraps to make little arms and positioned them as needed to create the classic see-speak-hear no evil poses. I only used a pen to rough-sketch in the positions of the eye and mouth holes and then drilled them first.
Next, I used a jigsaw to finish the cuts. They were rough sanded, then painted white. I dotted along the edges with a blue/gray color and gently sanded a bit away after drying to make them more care-worn.
They even cast cute shadows! They’ll be fun for years to come!
