This Upcycled Pallet Lounge came from our local roadside rubbish pickup. Our local council hosts this rubbish pickup about every six months, but things sit by the road for weeks before being picked up. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure; I believe the old saying goes. I found a LOT of pallets and other useful parts to make a start on my list.
How I made this Upcycled Pallet Lounge:
This lounge started out as part of a single and double bed frame. I used half of a double frame and parts of a single bed frame. I made the seat bench from pallet deck boards. First, I used the complete width of the double-bed headboard as the backrest of the lounge chair. Next, I took the foot board of a single bed frame and cut it in half. These became the armrests of the lounge bench. I attached everything together with screws. Then we created cross pieces to support the bench seat and to create a place to mount the deck boards too. To complete the project, we installed the deck boards that we’d sanded smooth and trimmed around the frame as necessary.

Nice job – you prevented two different items from ending up in a landfill, and it’s pretty. It would look great on any front porch! Looking forward to more creations! Happy Palleting – HS.
