How about this super-fun Raised Pallet LED-Lit Kids Bed for your own DIY Pallet Project? I turned a little built-in area in my kid’s room into a platform bed with a large headboard and under bed storage. To make it more unique, I added blue LED backlighting to the headboard.
How I built this Raised Pallet LED-Lit Kids Bed:
First, I mounted a large pallet to the wall and filled in some of the open areas of interest. I filled in the lower part entirely with slats from other pallets. I framed out a half-wall around the built-in area in my kid’s room.
I used 2×4″s to frame out the raised bed portion, attaching the boards to studs. I rough-sanded down all of the boards and rounded over the edges on the half-wall.
The most challenging part was the wiring necessary to get the lights to work. This has been a challenging project, and I’ve spent approximately 60 hours on it, but have only spent $50!
