I started by breaking down about 25 pallets, removing nails and selecting the best pieces to use on my wall. After I had chosen the pieces, I sanded them down and used four different shades of tint on the boards. I painted the wall a dark brown to hide imperfections in the boards. The final step of putting the boards on the wall took about four and a half hours, with my mother’s help to choose varying colored and widths of boards. I ended up using about ten pallets total in the project. I love the rustic finish of this pallet wall!

I noticed your username. I’m from NJ and have a tough time finding used pallets (or any pallets) without buying a truck load and that’s cost prohibitive. Would you mind sharing some of your sources with me?
I was born in New Jersey, but I was raised and still live in Virginia. I got some pallets from where I work and the rest came from an industrial park across from where I work.
how did u stik them an the wall?
I used a stud finder to mark the studs, ran a chalk line and used a nail gun with 15 gauge nails to nail primarily into the studs. I say “primarily” because not all of the boards lined up perfectly with the studs.
