I got this idea from a similar project I saw online. I used pieces of various pallets much like “Frankenstein”. :) I think this gives it more character. I bought adjustable leg levelers and a lamp kit from Lowe’s, and I found the old light fixture at an antique store and gave it new life. The top of the light is bolted to the bottom with a 7 inch bolt and wing nut to allow it to be adjusted up and down. “BE THE LIGHT” on the sides represents our duty as Christians to be the light to the world for Christ to guide others to God. The cross on top and the fleur de lies on the sides are added Christian touches. The lamp symbolizes “being the light.” I chose purple, gray and white because that’s my daughter’s favorite color scheme.
