The longest period for this project was the few hours waiting to make sure the paint was safe and dry. The two boards were already the same length; I just used a couple of smaller pieces on the back to hold them together. My daughter took about 15 minutes to freehand the outline of the flag, it could also be done tracing or with a projector in a matter of minutes, of course, depends on which flag you do could take a little longer. Took me about 20 minutes to paint, then when dry about 10 minutes of sanding.
