I reclaimed this oak from heavy coil pallets. Building a bar sounded like fun, so I gave it a shot. The frame is made from 4″X41/2″ solid oak beams. The front is also solid oak, 11/4″ thick. The top I went for a butcher block look, the pieces are 4″X41/2X4″. It’s made of heart Oak and Yellow pine. It was a fun project, especially when your kids Wana help. Time wise this took roughly 40 hours with the kids. We opted for casters on this; it weighs in about 325. If you have a saw and a screw gun, this is a fairly easy build.
