Searching on the web, I found these very nice pallet coat racks and made them myself. They are very easy to do, it only takes a few hours.
I had fun making different shapes and styles, and I really liked to use the oil finish instead of varnish because I like the natural look of the wood.
Once you have dismantled your pallet and have all the necessary wood, plain it down with a belt sander. Take a plywood which we will use for as a base and cut it down to the measure you want the coat rack to be. Then glue the wood onto the plywood and leave it for one night. Use the varnish or finish you desire, I used an oil based finish. Buy some hangers and screw them on the wood, make sure they are squared.
Go out and make your rustic hangers!
