UpRaw is a Branch of the Young Enterprise scheme based at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys.
The Up in UpRaw comes from upcycling, and Raw is both an acronym for another aspect of our products, the fact that they are Recycled and wooden, as well as a play on words of the Raw nature of our materials.
Our business is made up of 19 students aged 16-17 each with their own responsibilities. We also have a production team where most people chip in and help in working to make our products.Through the process of upcycling, we make quality furnishings for indoor or outdoor areas. We reuse wooden pallets that would otherwise go to waste and may even be burned and turn them into appealing products, such as chairs, stalls, wine racks and more.
