A-frame Pallet Shelving Unit

I made this A-Frame Pallet Shelving Unit because my son has very little room to actually store his clothes and belongings. We understand that he just simply doesn’t do well with putting stuff away from sight. He’s one of those people where it’s got to be in a visible area… I guess he needs a staircase type of shelf system, so this is my solution.

How I made this A-Frame Pallet Shelving Unit:

This project was quite straightforward and quick. I used about three pallets, and it took about three hours. First, I cleaned up the wood planks with a planer. Next, I built two A-frames using two 2×4″ with a cost of about $2.50 each. I mitered the corners and cut pieces of 2×4″ boards that will support the shelves themselves. Each end had to be angled to fit the A-frame shape. I installed three horizontal boards per side of the A-frame, and then sanded it all down smooth and fixed any imperfections. Next, I installed the shelves, starting with the bottom row after the glue dried. I secured the shelves to the horizontal boards using a pneumatic brad nailer for convenience. To finish the project, I sealed it with a spar polyurethane. We carried it in and installed it for my son. Now he’s got storage!

I’ve supplied a CAD image as well as a video of my A-Frame Pallet Shelving Unit to help you all with similar ideas. Hope this inspires you!
