I made these Guitar Headstock-Shaped Pallet Wall Hangers to add to a “studio” room I’ve been creating for a while. I wanted to find a unique way to display guitars and instruments on the wall. I wanted them to be off the floor, out of their cases and easily accessible. Additionally, I wanted a pleasing way to display my “toys.”
Why use ordinary hangers when you can upcycle and create a unique space?
I wanted to use pallet wood, so I created paper templates that matched each headstock of instruments I have (guitars, violin, mandolin). Then, I just traced the template onto pallet wood planks that I planed down and added a circle on the bottom large enough to attach the hook/hanger I purchased from my local Guitar Center. I used a jigsaw to cut out the shapes and applied a coat of Rust-Oleum double thick Varathane. Finally, I drilled out the holes for attaching the hangers and attached them to the wall. I liked how they came out, and it looks unique!
