Here’s a terrific idea to bring a bit of vacation fun to your home with this Cabin Pallet Table/Lamp Combo! You’ll need some cedar logs and some pallet wood, plus a lamp kit.

Cabin Pallet Table/Lamp Combo:

First, cut a log, in this case, we used cedar, into five pieces. Make it the height you want. The fifth leg can be longer or shorter as needed for light placement. Next, sand several pallet boards, smooth and join the edges, and glue them together. Clamp them together until dried. Make two pieces; one for the top and a second, smaller set for the lower shelf. Next, attach the top to your table legs with screws. Trim the lower shelf to fit around the four legs and secure in place by adding small wood pieces to support beneath. Glue in place if desired.

The lamp:

You have a few options for the lamp. Purchase whatever lamp kit style you wish. You can use an extra-long boring bit to drill a hole to hide the wire down the center of the log. Or, split the log in two and hollow out a small tunnel before gluing the log back together. The third would be to simply allow the wire to run down along the outside of the log. Follow the manufacturer’s installation guidelines and get the appropriate lamp style for how you want to mount it. Add a cute cabin-themed shade after coating with oil, varnish, or wax to protect the wood for many years of enjoyment.
