This Pallet Wood Superhero Chalkboard was a very time-consuming project, but well worth the effort. It’s my homage to all the great Superheroes that have graced the big screen and graphic novels.
Pallet Wood Superhero Chalkboard:
The building aspect was straightforward. The time-consuming part was the painting of the various logos. First, I cut 14 squares from pallet wood, using wider deck boards to give myself enough room to create the logos. Next, I created an inner frame and used chalkboard paint to make a center chalkboard area on plywood. I butt-joined pallet wood to frame the chalkboard, and attached the dividing boards to it, slowly inserting the squares. I secured them in place with an outer frame and also along the back. Everything was primarily framed together using brad nails and glue.
Great job, Chris! We’re looking forward to more of your creations in the future. In the meantime, check out this picture holder for more inspiration!
