Instead of kicking your shoes off and creating a jumble in the entryway, make something like this easy, functional, and Handy Pallet Shoe Rack. You only need two pallets to create an organization from chaos!
First, break apart two pallets. Next, I sanded all of the pieces I needed but kept the character of the pallet wood. Then, I clamped together with the deck boards I needed and sawed them to length. Each shelf is made by two blocks for each corner. I used a deck board to span from front to back, sandwiching in the blocks. Finally, I used more deck boards as the shelving and secured them to the sandwiched block ends. I haven’t decided if I’m going to paint, stain or varnish this shoe rack, but I’m happy with my clean entryway!
