This Butcherblock Style Pallet Side Table was created using several reclaimed materials. I used pallet wood, pine off-cuts, and four reclaimed stair banister spindles. The design incorporates a contrasting two tone finish. I waxed the top and finished the base in a matte blue color. The dimensions are as follows: Length 70cm, Width 45cm, Height 50cm. I even used 19 pallet boards just to create the butcher block style top.
Butcherblock Style Pallet Side Table:
First, I dismantled three pallets. Next, I created a frame out of some pieces of board that I cut down and attached the stair banister spindles to by mounting them on the inside corners. Then, to create the top, I took 19 pallet boards that I’d previously sanded and set them against one another, staggering the ends to create a ragged butcher block style top, gluing the pieces together and clamping firmly. I painted the base in a matte blue color. I mounted the table top to the table frame after the everything had dried. Finally, I waxed the top, and the project was done! The final piece turned out well, and I’m happy with the look.
