Well my wife wanted a coffee table with a rustic look. So I came up with this Pallet Coffee Table With Shelf idea. To begin this project, I measured the area I wanted to cover with the table.
The challenges of this Pallet Coffee Table With Shelf project:
I made a table 42 inches long, 23 inches wide and 18 inches high. I used 4 pallets and some scrap lumber I had laying around the house. (1 piece of 4×4 and a 1 piece of 2×4) I guess all the frame was simple, but the hardest part of my project putting together the top without the screws being visible. The next challenging part was sanding it nice and smooth. I wanted to do something a little fun for the wife, so I alternated colors of wood, and then directions of grains to create a center panel. I also took the time to counter-sink the fasteners and then plugged the holes for a finished look. Finally, I stained the frame, legs and lower shelf to really showcase the top.
Well I hope you enjoy this Pallet Coffee Table With Shelf project as much as my wife.
