This pallet wall art board highlights the flexibility and various uses of pallet wood.
How I did this pallet wall art:
To start this pallet wall art project, I cut out the letters using MDF plywood. I spray painted it in a light color to contrast against the darker stain on the pallet boards.
I sanded and attached three pallet boards together, but left a little of their rustic texture. I trimmed and routed the edges for visual appeal. I stained the pallet boards and then mounted the letters. This fun and creative project can be modified almost endlessly to suit your needs, and I’ve shown a few examples. I carved one to create a band logo.
how did u join the pallets together
I used strips of 3/4 inch plywood, the only trouble with that is once stained the pallet wood wants to move when drying and can warp, next time I plan to do it in the warmer weather which might help.
I’d guess glue – possibly biscuits as well. Could have thin metal strips to support on the back, but if he used a good-quality wood glue, he wouldn’t need it. I really like this idea. Makes me want to make some signs myself!
Very nice. Could have a million possibilities to customize it for anyone. Fun idea!
