I wanted to create a nice looking bar to store my cooler in for summer days by our pool. The hardest part was figuring out the framing to include the platform to fit the cooler on. All together this took me about 17 hours. I used four relatively large sized pallets, 12 2 X 4’s, and one 12 X 2 16 Pine board for the top with some plywood for the shelves and metal casters. First, I created the Ferg’s Bar Sign with the anchor and nails through the metal letters and U bolts to hold the anchor in place. After building the frame I attached 175-pound metal caster wheels, the set on the back has brakes, so I could move the bar around on the deck depending on the weather and for storage in the winter. I then attached the bar sign to the frame and assembled the other boards around it. I then added the bar top, and I added rope lights under the top for effect in the evenings.

I see great ideas all the time, but this one has me excited! I’m thinking all I need to purchase is casters. Ya, new day, new project!
