I made this pallet bar using six pallets I picked up behind a furniture store. Furniture stores are some of the best places to find the larger heavy duty pallets. They will usually let you have them for free. I sanded them first then applied two coats of stain. I chose a dark stain for the look of the bar. Next, I attached the pallets together in an L shape using wood screws. I purchased a sheet of plywood (8 ft by four ft) to use for the countertop. I cut the plywood into sections, 1 section was 8ft by one ft and the second section was four ft by one ft. I attached the plywood to the top of the pallets with wood screws. Next, I sanded and applied two coats of stain. After about 30 minutes of dry time, I applied two coats of clear lacquer. The cost was under $50. 6 pallets free, one sheet of plywood, 1 inch thick (Lowe’s) $16, 2-quart cans of stain,(Walmart) $16, two spray can of clear lacquer (Walmart) $8, wood screws (Walmart) $5.
