Luis sent us his Weekend project! He had the original idea to make his kitchen backsplash from pallet boards. Unfortunately, we do not have many explanations on the making of, but the pictures. We love the idea to play with the colors. You may as well take care of which type of varnish you use to make it waterproof enough.

I am planning to do this in my kitchen, over the drywall that is there now. I was thinking that it would make it easier if I measured the area, and made a matching piece of MDF or plywood, and screwed the pallet boards to it, then installed it on the wall in a couple pieces. I think that would make it easier than trying to match up the pallet wood with the studs behind the drywall, which I never do right on the first try. Just an idea.
