I made this coffee table for a friend, being a single mom of two girls, I wanted to make something multifunctional, bright, diverse and mobile. The coffee table top is made from pallet wood, while the reverse ‘games’ table top is made from hardboard painted with blackboard paint. The frame is also made from pallets, and colored boxes from 12mm plywood. The frame and coffee table top had a big glug of my specially blended Danish oil and a hint of wood dye. I can’t wait to see this in full use filled with games, pencils, probably a dozen or so nail varnishes and lip balms!
