Pallet Living Room End Table

I made this end table out of a few different kinds of wood I found on different free pallets. I am not a great miter cutter, but I will get better. (this is only the second piece I have ever made) The hardest part was getting those miter cuts to fit together flush. The stain with polyurethane was free. It was a 2 in 1 product called Polyshades by Minwax. Could have been 80 years old for all I know…it was free!! The wood on top was glued (Elmer’s wood glue) to a 1/4 inch board then nailed to the 2x4s on the base. I used framing nails and Elmers wood glue to attach the legs to the base and used straight nails and finished nails to secure the top to the base. I sanded it with 60 grit sanding paper using an orbital sander. The chop/miter saw was $40 buck at a garage sale…maybe Rockwell brand?? The pneumatic nail guns were Home Depot Brand HDX. They were a set of 4 guns for $100. Best purchase ever.
