To make this chicken coop, I took three pallets and screwed them together in the A-Frame form. The couple ends out of scrap plywood. One end with the doors which are simple cutouts – the upper door is to retrieve eggs from the nesting box which consists simply of a shelf.
The lower door is to pull out the plywood sheet (sh*#t collector). Scrap fiberglass corrugation for roof and light. Hardi panel A-frame sides. Three hours build without plans, just a contractor’s stash of stuff.
Looks good but I would beef up those door catches. Old foxy will soon work out how to turn those wooden handles.
POOR CHICKENS…Hahaha—
Fit for my hen !
Love this!!! Is this structure good for cold climates? Can you take pictures of the inside? What/how much scrap did you use? More details please, thank you.
