I sanded the pallet, stapled landscape fabric to back and sides, filled with 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 vermiculite, and 1/3 compost. Planted peppers, herbs, cucumbers, tomatoes and marigolds to keep the pests at bay. The first picture is on May 5. Next two are from June 8, Peppers and tomatoes already growing, and have been using herbs for the past couple of weeks!

Good idea. The boards on top keep moisture in and weeds down. Easy picking of herbs etc, without trampling earth. I would like to try this as have problem with my lovely dog that likes to dig holes to lay in.
